Good afternoon Palomino Family. We are looking for 6 parent volunteers to be a part of our School Site Council. It is a year long commitment and will require attendance of 5 meeting spread throughout the year. Meetings run from 245- around 4. If you would like to volunteer please fill out this nomination form. Back to School Night is tomorrow at NMS! Please join us at Nicolet tomorrow at 5 pm in our gymnasium for a brief presentation before visiting your student's classes at your leisure until 6:55 pm. Your student will bring home a form tomorrow after school with a list their classes, teachers, and room numbers to help facilitate your visit.
Our Quad will also feature sales from ASB, Athletics, Nothing Bundt Cakes, and other community vendors!

Please remember to send your student to school with a refillable water bottle. Encourage your Palomino to stay hydrated! We also kindly ask that you ensure your student is within the dress code policy as we will be calling homes to bring changes of clothes starting this week.
Also, don't forget to have your Palomino put on their ID lanyard! All students who were not at the registration days will be taking their picture and receiving lanyards tomorrow (Monday, August 12). By Tuesday, all Palominos will have received their first lanyard for free; if your student loses it, it will cost $7 to replace at our ASB office.

Our Athletic Director, Coach Hornbeck, has the following message for all 7th graders needing the TDap vaccine and all students who needs sports physicals for fall sports:
"If you can't get an appointment in time with your doctor, we would send students for same day sports physicals to Rapid Urgent Enterprises - Urgent Care - 6350 W. Ramsey St. suite Q, Banning, their phone number is: 951-490-4910 ext. 3 . In the past they did the sports physicals M-F from 10am-2pm and 3:15pm-6pm. I would call to see if that is still the case."

Tomorrow is our first day back to school and period 1 starts promptly at 8 am. Please remember that any student being dropped off/walking can only enter through the Main Entrance. Non-BUSD vehicles will not be allowed into the parking lots for drop off/pick up.
Please take some time to review the policies in the Student-Parent/Guardian handbook so we start the year in the right direction.
It is also highly advised to bring a refillable water bottle as temperatures are still high. Though temperatures are still hot, please be mindful of the dress code policy.
Lastly, any 7th graders who have not submitted proof of the TDap cannot join us tomorrow. Please bring proof of TDap to the Main Office as soon as possible.
We cannot wait to see our Palominos tomorrow morning with their lanyards on and big smiles on their faces!

In order to help all of our 7th grade Palominos obtain the required TDap/Varicella vaccination needed before our August8 start date and to give our scholar-athletes an opportunity to obtain sports physicals, we are offering a last chance health/TDAP clinic and sports physical mobile clinic on 8/7/24 from 1-:50pm at NMS at the gymnasium.
