The Banning Unified School District (Banning USD) continued its long-standing tradition today as schools across the District hosted their Annual Turkey Trots, bringing students, families, and the community together for a day of spirited competition and celebration.
The Turkey Trots, a cherished tradition at Banning USD, invite students from every grade level to participate in small races, fostering camaraderie, teamwork, and school pride. Families gather to support their children, creating a festive atmosphere that strengthens the connection between schools and the community.
Participants were recognized for their achievements, with awards presented to the first, second, and third-place winners by grade level. Beyond the friendly competition, the event focused on building a positive school culture that emphasizes the importance of community and togetherness during the holiday season.
“Our Annual Turkey Trots are a shining example of what makes Banning USD so special,” said Superintendent Terrence Davis. “This event not only encourages friendly competition among our students but also brings families and the community together in celebration.”
The District's Turkey Trots remain a highlight of the fall season, serving as a reminder of the importance of community, gratitude, and togetherness.
