Meet Adriana Lopez, Bilingual Aide at Cabazon Elementary School. Here is a little more from Adriana, "I am a first generation Mexican American. My parents immigrated to the United States from Mexico. One of my favorite pastimes is spending time with my pets, and just relaxing at home, whether reading books or playing video games. My absolute favorite series is Harry Potter!
Why Do I Love Working at Banning USD?: I am a Banning Unified Alumni, graduated in 2013, so working here makes me happy to be able to give back to the community for which I grew up in! Especially working with students who recently came into our country to better their future, just as my parents have done when they came into this country." Adriana was submitted by a Cabazon staff member, here is what they said about her, "I am nominating Adriana because she has served at Nicolet, Banning High, and now at Cabazon for 9 years as a para educator and now bilingual aide. She is helping to establish her place at Cabazon by offering tutoring, translating, and helping our EL and intervention students achieve their academic goals." #BanningUSD

This week's Student Athlete of the Week at Banning High School is Jose Medina. Coach Aja had this to say about him, "Jose is the leader of the defense. He plays strong, tough defense. He is always first to win a 50/50 ball on the ground or in the air. He has great slide tackling skills. The defense now has six shutouts for the season." #BanningUSD

This is a reminder for the girls' varsity soccer game at 3 pm today and a location update for the boys' soccer game. Due to extreme fog at Rim of the World, the boys' soccer game will now be played at home following the girls' game. Boys' Varsity game time is 5 pm at Banning High School. There is no JV game today.

Hello Bronco Families, Please see the attached final exam schedule. Finals will be December 18, 2023 - December 20, 2023. NO SCHOOL on Thursday 21st and Friday 22nd.
The current application window for students in grades 6-12 to apply to BISS is open now through 12-20-23, for students who want to attend BISS starting the second semester on 1/8/24.
